Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Siamil is a fun-loving dragon with a rather mischievous streak. When he was a hatchling and able to fly before his cavemates he loved dangling them off the edge of the cliff and threatening to drop them. Of course, this was before his sister BloodBone (red) grew larger than him. After the others' growth spurts he decided his pranks could cause harm to himself and took to dropping his brother Riraial's (white) adopted pets off the cliff. By the time Riraial clued in and stopped taking in the creatures, Siamil had grown his second set of wings and was flying all over instead of bothering with the actual cave. Now that other hatchlings have appeared, he tends to stay far, far away but occasionally pops in for a fun game of 'push the winged ones off the edge and see who can fly'.
