Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Erebos Process, despite being a "spooky" Grave Dragon, really has a deep love for books and libraries. He's rumored to frequently prowl the corridors of libraries that Keepers and other humans have built, only to vanish whenever humans appear. He has a great vocabulary that could only have been built up over years of reading ancient texts, and he uses that vocabulary to his greatest advantage—typically, normal dragons can barely understand a simple message he's trying to get across due to the flowery language he uses in all of it.

Recently, however, he's been retreating more into dark magics and books long banned from Valkemarian culture, burning down more buildings and growing more powerful, despite his usual pacifist nature. Some dragons call him an example—never delve too deep into ancient texts, lest you become like Erebos.

Some others call it an omen—that they need to delve deeper, find out more about old history. Erebos himself certainly wouldn't say anything about it.
