Diamondwing Dragons are named for the myriad tiny scales that grow on their wing membranes, lending them a faceted, lustrous appearance. These meticulous creatures will spend months ranging far and wide to collect the shiniest trinkets and gemstones to adorn their nests. Once his nest is complete, a male Diamondwing will perform an elaborate aerial dance hoping to impress potential mates with his beauty and prowess.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Adamas is a very flashy dragon, always gathering the shiniest trinkets and dyes for her cave. Veru has even made some sculptures for her. The sculptures are average, but colorful as Veru is much better at structural glass, not cosmetic. She is known to steal shinier items from other various dens. Some acounts of her have said that she would steal the biggest, most flawless gems from Fire Gem dragon caves. She only shares with the dragons (or people) closest to her. Giving little gifts here and there, sometimes suggesting gifts for other dragons to give their mates or potential mates.
