Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kerwyn has developed quite the reputation among the hatchlings of the clan; they believe him to be the greatest adventurer on this side of the mountain range. To them he's sailed across churning ocean waters, fought epic and mythical beasts three times his size, and stolen more human princesses than they could count on one paw. The adults who listen take his words with a grain of salt, for they know that he's really done none of those things. The 'ocean' he soared over was just a nearby pond, the 'mythical beasts' are just the many pests who sometimes invade his home, and the 'human princess' were simply lost human playthings that he stumbled upon. But Kerwyn never tells the hatchlings any of this, of course, even as they grow older. Because he knows that part of the innocence of childhood is using a little imagination to turn the smallest of victories into the grandest of tales, and he never wants them to underestimate themselves.
