Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Povvv is utterly and terribly in love with Shatner, her one and only true love. It is a pity that her soulmate has yet to see the light, as that stupid little she-drake Hospi keeps strutting around him. Povvv has managed to bring her beloved Shat into her lair (mostly with pieces of leftover prey) and could listen to his lovely voice all day long but somehow Hospi, and sometimes Jewel and Beverage, always sneak their way into her lair, too. And there simply can't be any romance with that kind of an audience.

Other clan mates have tried to explain to Povvv that Shat is a Drake, nothing more than a glorified pet, if he can be tamed at all, but she doesn't believe them. After all, they always try to convince her that Lindwurms and Bloodscales have two distinct personalities as well—which cannot be of course, that would be unnatural. So it's no wonder they don't understand the thing she and Shat share—they simply don't "get" draffection.
