Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Starmaker is so named because of her magical prowess in creating tiny floating orbs of warm light. Whether or not she creates these miniature suns from raw magic or is simply summoning the heat from within the deep hearts of stars remains her secret. However, they are very useful for providing both warmth and light to the other inhabitants of the cave.

Starmaker is deeply in love with her mate, Whyte, and deeply laments each time she fails to produce him with a child. But those few times when a union between the two of them is fruitful means that the resulting offspring is lavished with copious amounts of love and affection.

Of all of the dragons in the cave, Starmaker is the most tolerant of any human presence, and may even protect them from others if they manage to get past the dragons defending the cave.
