Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rivers-song was trained from birth to be a deadly assassin by a clan of mad warriors. Through years of training both her physical body and her magic prowess were honed. She proved to be a decent warrior, able to fight her way out of almost any situation, but while she has a brilliant mind she failed in almost all other areas. Except for the art of time magic. For some reason unknown to Rivers-song at the time, she felt no connection to any other magic and was unable to manipulate any other type of mana. After leaving her clan and taking up a job as an archaeologist in search of her parents she could swear she had met long ago, time magic became an obsession. Her talent get her into plenty of trouble throughout Valkemare... and she is usually rescued by a nameless Whiptail and his equally strange friends. Unfortunately, he is also skilled in time magic. Each time they meet, she finds she knows him more while he knows her less.
