Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Blacky was frozen at a very young age. No one knows how the spell was woven, who did it and if it was an accident or intentional, fact is that Blacky was frozen at an age that could be described as that of a toddler. Now Blacky is forever bound in that particular curious, friendly mindset of the very young, unable to ever outgrow it.

Some dragons pity Blacky, but he himself is quite happy not even realizing that others see his fate as something horrible.
