Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It loves to chase butterflies.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This is not a dragon, but an oddly pink cat. How it safely found its way into a massive dragon populace is beyond its mental capabilities. It often tries to escape, but they are always watching. Meanwhile, the massive dragon populace is getting tired of constantly chasing the hatchling back to its guardians, who worry that their little munchkin's insistence on being a cat is going to persist through adulthood.
