Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Mannix holds an esteemed yet emotionally trying position in the clan: he is one of the few who know the proper spells needed to freeze a hatchling. A lifetime of studying the side effects and proper techniques granted him this unique ability, but it does not make his job any easier. In the clan there are only two reasons to stunt a hatchling's growth. One takes place in the infirmary; sick or injured hatchlings may be frozen in order to keep their bodies young and able to heal, others are frozen to prevent serious illnesses that may worsen as their bodies mature. The other reason is if he is asked. Mannix must freeze any hatching who truly desires eternal youth, usually after having a lengthy discussion with them to make sure they and their guardians know what exactly his spell will do. Neither instance is easy for the Magi, as he can't help but feel guilty for willingly taking away the hatchling's chances of having a mate, and perhaps a little hatchling of their own.
