Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dead anythings, especially hatchlings are terrible to deal with. But having to carry the name of a deceased hatchling with you is even worse. Nevertheless, Ether bears it as best as possible. This means trying not to see the sad look that shines in the now-adult dragons who knew Mirnweld Iprose every time she comes around and dismissing the queries of curious hatchlings looking for stories. This means keeping quiet whenever Mirnweld pops up as a blow against the leadership, be it a justified or self-serving blow.

Even if she dreams of a small Guardian hatchling with an uncanny resemblance to her from time to time, death couldn't overshadow life. Her life so far isn't too bad. But Ether wishes that she could produce children with Drasphenine, her "mate". Mothering over his bitten eggs is as close as she can get. She'll have no other dragon. Even though Ether would send any eggs bred from her to the vampires, some mate-seekers still try to court her.
