Red-Tailed Wyrms are a small but clever breed of dragon. Their innate ability to use air mana allows them to fly, and they are aerial predators with extremely sharp eyesight. They tend to ride on warm air currents, and then swoop out of the sky when they spot prey. Once the wyrm catches its prey, it will constrict its meal before swallowing it whole. They can often be found in human settlements, draped over rooftops or signs to rest between meals.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

P2ZZY is studying for a PhD in noodliness. He wants to be an expert in what makes a noodle a noodle and is working hard on a theory that applies to everything from the finest bean-thread noodles and angel-hair pasta to the strange purple dragon noodles, all the way up to the largest of xenowyrms. Some of his colleagues think it is odd that he has any interest in the plant-based types of noodles since he cannot actually eat them, but as he points out, it is not like he could eat a xenowyrm either. After school, he sometimes cooks with PizzaG: the bleeding moon kills a cow or deer and cuts large slabs of meat which P2ZZY tops with smaller birds and rodents, which they cook on a super-hot stone. P2ZZY has trouble eating these, but they figured out if they wrap a strip of meat around the small animal they can get something similar-tasting and easier for the red-tailed noodle to eat. They call these treats "P2ZZY bites" and some of the larger carnivores have been known to eat lots of them.
