Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys swimming in a nearby pond.

And look! Its fins and tail have gotten bigger, and you’ve moved it to a larger body of water to swim in. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Swimm4r is a very, very fast swimmer. Swimm4r was named swimm4r because of his ability to swim. He admires Peter Pan, who never wanted to grow up, and therefore never did grow up- He thinks that adult water-dragons can't swim well because of their weight and size. Swimm4r is a skillful dragon- he can hold his breath for an extremely long time, can see very clearly in dark or deep places of the water, and, most strange of all, can breathe fire underwater. Swimm4r likes his cave, which is his view of "ideal"- Enough room for about 10 water-dragons to fit in, clean, has an air-bay at the top, and the entrance is small so that predators cannot invade. Swimm4r enjoys spending time with friends in his cozy little cave, which has several strangely-colored rocks to play with and also contains food for them. Swimm4r has, twice, escaped from the jaws of angry, hungry sharks when he was outside of his cave venturing around.
