Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Chronophage keeps a complicated-looking clock deep in the forest, not far from his main lair. It consists of a large circle that blinks the hours and minutes with magical light and a spiky insect-shaped escapement that produces a grinding sound as it moves. The insect sculpture creeps visitors out the most, even though it does nothing more than hop above the clock face. The structure and the surrounding area are protected by magic: the clock cannot come into harm, and neither can any visitors who stop to watch the clock. There is no information around the structure except for "Chronophage" engraved in the stone slab on the ground. People aren't sure if that is the name of the clock or its architect, so they use it to refer to both. Chronophage does let a select few visit him and lets them in on a little secret: he was named for his love of so-called useless ventures that eat up time, such as his beloved clock, i.e. "time-consuming".
