Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Konata Izumi, a strangely lazy though Uncharacteristically athletic, even for her race, Whiptail dragon. One day, while searching for food to take to Eve, Kallen found her egg on the plains. Not having neither dragon nor human smells on it, Kallen didnt figure out the brown egg with strange markings on it to be a dragon's egg; rather, a very tasty meal. So, she brought Konata's egg home. When she arrived, Eve was sleeping peacefully, so she let her meal next to her, imagining how happy Eve would be when she woke up. Needless to say, when she woke up... there were two very surprised dragons.

Side note: Confused as she might be, that was the moment Kallen understood she finally had a family.
