Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Summer is a time of joy for many; the sun shines with a happy glow, the hours lengthen into pale twilight, fields are filled with a lovely spray of colorful wildflowers, and the danger of losing precious food to winter's cold claws is long behind. But the heat brings a new threat and disease thrives, often spreading through cities like wildfire affecting both humans and dragons alike. Ollandor's parents were victims of such a plague, and as the oldest he raised his two siblings alone. They eventually joined other clans but the distant and deep Ollandor preferred to remain in solitary, wandering the world alone during his patron season he has come to despise for the dangers that flourish alongside the flowers. Only the warning cry of autumn forces him to still his paws until spring's first breath--many eons later for a dragon whose heart will never be satisfied while at rest.
