Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The hatchling idolizes a strange creature called a 'Lytharien'. Nobody else in the clan has a clue what that is, but this little Winter hatchling constantly rambles about how amazing she is and does everything she can to be more like her. He's even taken to trying to scratch art on the cave walls. Suffice to say, nobody can really tell what his masterpieces are supposed to be.
