Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Olgori's egg was left outside Highrock Weyr by an uncaring mother, a fate only marginally less cruel than being left to die.  Highrock was barely a shadow of the mighty weyr it had once been, and food was always scarce and tempers often short.  Kazara was kind to him, but Olgori earned Olinbar's enmity for being no use as a hunter, and thus just one more mouth to feed.

Olgori developed a keen interest in history, since so much of his adopted weyr's past had been lost to time, and once he grew up set out to travel the world, collecting stories about past deeds, notable events, and famous ancestors from the dragons he encountered.  He inherited his father's perfect memory, so he has no need for enchanted quills or parchment, and he stops by a human university every few months to dictate his findings to a scribe.  With Vera of the Endless Why at his side, Olgori travels wherever he pleases, and never fails to take pleasure in uncovering some new piece of draconic history.
