Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Naorn is one of the four that rules over the other dragons hatched by his owner, and he does so with what could be considered an iron fist. He does not accept failure from those beneath him, and promptly punishes such acts with a sharp lash of his tail. Mercy does not appear to part of his vocabulary. With a short and somewhat dangerous temper, his subjects have learned to stay well out of his way, and he regards the other leaders with slight contempt.
