Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

tina NOT Tina is indeed an interesting hatchling, according to her mistress tinakhal. She, like her best friend, 'tinakhal NOT Tinakhal,' is considered a big kiss-up to their mistress, tinakhal. tNT is younger than her best friend, but many say she acts more mature than tinakhal NOT Tinakhal. Unlike her friend, however, she actually officially gendered as a girl. tina NOT Tina is a gentle creature, and when someone spells her mistresses' name wrong, she will order her vines to gently squeeze those 'wrongdoers.'

   tina NOT Tina enjoys her free time by guarding her mistress, tinakhal, from any danger. Other times, when tinakhal asks to not be bothered, she enjoys playing Freeze Tag with the winter dragons.
