Gold-horned Tangars are a brightly colored tropical breed. They are primarily herbivores, and eat a wide variety of fruits and flowers in addition to the occasional bird. Tangars are well suited to life in the trees; their slender bodies make them light enough to be supported by thinner branches and agile enough to avoid obstacles while flying. Their brightly colored horns, found in both males and females, are used to attract mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fytrylun is the faithful sister of Wulan Klyris. She is not what the traditional deadly and terrifying dragon would be. Fytrylun is a compassionate, spiritual dragon that follows the happy path of life. With this behavior, she is a close friend to a Dark Myst Pygmy called Delkinoi whom follows the same path as Fytrylun. They have a tendency to go to Delkinoi's riverside home and talk. However, there is only one dragon that bothers Fytrylun a lot: Wulan Klyris, Fytrylun's nasty brother. He disturbs her conversation with his stealth and strong wits. Though he is protective of his sister as well, Fytrylun cannot stand her brother's pranks. The two also argue a lot, causing fights with Wulan Klyris every time. Fytrylun's first child is a male the same breed as herself. Her son is friends with Ginylisa's first son.
