Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Leva is the oldest dragon of all Filari's charges, rumors of Fylarian's... nature notwithstanding. The group has a hierarchy based on age, making the optimistic Waterhorse in charge of a spread out clan of differing species and temperaments. She personally does not like that she is automatically the leader, since that means more responsibilities. As a result, Leva has shared her power with other dragons. It lessens her importance somewhat, but it doesn't take away from the real reason that she enjoys power- nearly everyone wants to talk to her.

Underhanded attempts to change her position are not recommended. Unscrupulous ones may see a typical mongrel Waterhorse who fritters time away, but it doesn't magically erase simple facts. Blacks, Storms, and Magis are the overwhelming majority of her ancestors; Leva will be damned if any walk over her. A master of magic she is not, but personality is a force of its own.
