Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lenhart of the Swamp, second of the pink trio found in Vernal's garden. His appearance was somewhat less mysterious; Lady Nerruse was gifted his egg as part of her new alliance with the Swamp clan. Lenhart is a bit of a cautious dragon, being so far away from his home. While there is no swamp on the isle to speak of, Lady Nerruse recalled a reedy marsh hidden within the forest. When she told him of it, he immediately brightened and scampered off to find it. The marsh became his nest and, to the bemusement of his adopted clan, Lenhart is now more often brown than pink.
