Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Oquious doesn't seem to be too picky who he springs his charm on and more than once he's sent a flustered male scrambling from his loving attentions. Those that really know the stone dragon know that the winsome attitude and dashing grin that he sends their way is just his way of showing affection. There is only one person for Oquious in this world and that is the equally sweet and charming Quista. She doesn't have a problem with his affectionate ways and he doesn't have a problem with hers either. In fact, their little tradition is to go out every week and make everyone feel very uncomfortable by flirting with them while they share a secret snicker with each other, pleased at their trick.
