Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A Bite in the Night is one of Phoenix's dragons. Cunning, sly, and a master of deception, Night will take—with savagery—what she cannot win through guile.

Most of Phoenix's female dragons are intimidated by Night, as her charm is practically tangible. There are a few, however—such as Bright-Eyes Aecara—that Night seems to have no power over, much to her frustration (though far be it from her to ever reveal such emotions).

Although Night has never caused any real trouble among the clan, it is generally agreed on that her emotional detachment from her own actions and the carelessness with which she breezes past tragedy can only mean bad news. However, her agility and adeptness with illusion magic have made her a valuable asset, and the elders generally give her what she wants.

Unsurprisingly, Night has never had a true mate, though she has several children. It is often questioned whether her actions are entirely planned out, or if she just makes things up as she goes along.
