It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kamapua'a is a dragon player. Kamapua'a's father was the same way, using his good looks and ability to woo many females. When he had finally settled down with another Purple dragon whom he considers the most beautiful Purple dragon of all, he decided to name his offspring after the Hawaiian pig-demigod Kamapua'a. Before Pele, the stories weave a tale of a man who disrespected women, treating them as objects and stealing them from their husbands as a game. Kamapua'a is commonly viewed as the manifestation of the quote, "men are pigs", for possessing the constant desire to indulge in overnight relations with different women.

Kamapuaa the dragon seems to live up to his name well as he does the same exact thing as the pig-demigod had; wooing females from their mates as competition. Though it is believed that this dragon has fallen for a pink dragon, believing it to be a beautiful female but he is in fact a male.
