Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Secret can be very, very quiet. This has led to him discovering many interesting facts about the adult dragons, interesting facts that most of them don't want spread about. However, Secret rarely causes trouble with the information he has; all he really wants is to have a home with the clan, a little nook where he can have, some other hatchlings his age to play with. He wants all of that, and stories- true stories, false stories, stories that no one is supposed to know. He loves them dearly, and listens for them all of the time.
