Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crystal Mist had only one love and that love was to fly. She only returned to the cave once every few weeks to say hi to her friends and to let them know that she was ok. She spent her days just flying with no definate destination. She often dreamed of a place where there was no land, just endless sky that could be flown in for all eternity. One day when she arrived back to the cave, all her friends jumped up and greeted her, but she was looking past them at another dragon. He had large wings, and a long snake-like body, just like her! But he was not the same species as her, for he had two front legs. Nevertheless, she was lovestruck. She noticed that he too was looking at her with the same awestruck expression. She smiled to herself as she made her way over to him. She invited him to fly with her by the coast that evening. He accepted, and the two have been mates ever since.
