Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Amanikable is  rather vain, but unlike Cocidius he realizes that he's not the only one with a brain. This leads to many conflicts between the two. Despite his ego problems, he's quite popular within the cave, which leads to further problems with Cocidius and their arguments almost always lead to blows. He has good judgment and is considered the most likely to lead the cave in the event of Morae's absence.

Amanikable is named for the Philippine sea god, as well as the Philippine god of the hunt and protector of huntsmen.
