Water Walkers are small dragons that are frequently found around bogs and ponds. While they are flightless, they retain the flight sacs and hollow bones of their airborne cousins. These traits, coupled with their extraordinarily long, webbed toes, allow them to stand on top of calm waters, using their small sails to propel them wherever they please. They spend the majority of their lives on the water, retreating to the tops of lily pads when the waters become too rough to float atop.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

StonedWaterWalker is a Waterwalker Dragon who doesn't spend as much time on the water as most of his species. Though he loves skimming along the surface of the water, he doesn't spend quite enough as much time floating as most of his kind. He lives far from his home swamp and has to stay away. The clan of Waterwalkers he was born in have banished him forever. In fact, they would kill him on sight. The leaders of his home tribe already tried to kill him once, when he refused to marry his 'chosen' bride. Every Waterwalker in that clan has already been mated to another picked by the Clan Elders, not one chosen out of love. StonedWaterWalker now spends his time alone, wandering. Whatever he finds, like wild herbs and insects. He needs to be around other dragons, but is too scared of being caught by his ex-clan and put to death to ever return.
