Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Frigitus, Lord of Ice, is the wife of Shiverian, Queen of Snow, and is as powerful as her in the magic of winter. He is known for tremendous and stunning abilities with ice, able to form and shape it as he wills, into any creation or destruction conceivable. The only limits of such powers is that other dragons can counter them, and that he is not a deity-he can generate an immense icestorm, freeze a wall at the entrance of a cave, turn a hill into an icicle, but he cannot destroy the world, or negate the power of massed foes. Also, he and Shiverian both lose their legendary strength at the equinox.

Frigitus is respected as the combat leader of all winter dragons in his cave, and greatly honored for his strength. He is not overly proud, and will not shun the company of a lesser dragon. He will avoid idle chatter, though, and is usually serious. He cares deeply for his brethren, and will always put their needs above his own.
