Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Stories from ancient times tell of an old human man that saved the human race from a flood by building a great ark. What the tale fails to mention, however, is that this story has been told in every race for millenniums, tweaked here and there to make it fit the species' idea of their perfect hero. NoaH Bat Lamech(NoaH, daughter of Lamech) knows this very well; she was simply minding her own business when a great flood nearly swept away a whole colony of Ochredrakes. Smarter than the average Ochredrake, she noticed the swelling banks of a nearby river during a rainstorm, and got all of her colony to safety by herding them all to a rocky outcrop, high above the flood levels, where they waited for nearly a month, surviving only on the fruits and leaves of the sparse trees which grew on the rocks until the flood had receded. Today, an old dragon living alone, she is remembered in legend by the younger generations of her colony as NoaH, the dragon who saved them from the great flood.
