Most of the creatures in Pteprocks' clan will drop the "Ptero-" prefix from their name for the sake of casual conversation, but Ptero-Dactyl positively insists that even his closest friends call him by his full name. If a dragon were to slip and simply call this dino "Dactyl," that dragon just might receive a scar to remember the name "Ptero-Dactyl" by!
