As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Miyako is a shy and timid dragon. She prefer to stay in the dark and far away from attention as much as possible, choosing to help from the background instead. Her special ability to blend with the night sky makes her very hard to spot during the night but also becomes a very valuable asset in battle as it allows the group to pull successful sneak attacks against the enemies. Due to her special ability, it is not rare that she is put as Aoi partner in battle.
