Kyanite Pygmies are a feisty breed, always full of energy. Playfully ebullient, these tiny and elusive dragons like to chase after one another, darting in and out of small alcoves and other such hiding places. They often dig small burrows underneath large trees and nibble on the roots for sustenance. They rely on the towering oaks’ formidable trunks and vast immensity to hide them from predators, something their small size aids in. Kyanites also secrete a weak toxin when threatened, which further protects them from intruders. However, this poison is not strong enough to affect larger creatures, humans included.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Dekaan Delun has a pleasing manner of talking and also chooses pleasant subjects to talk about, which makes others happy in their company. Easy-going as he is, Dekaan's desire to enjoy every moment runs deep within him. Dekaan's duty in the clan is to deliver items that his clan members give him. These items can range from carrying healing items to clan-members that may be fighting on the battlefield to delivering secret personal gifts when the clan is in breeding season. Dekaan is always traveling due to this. He can run or swim at top speed for days without resting being an energetic Kyanite pygmy. Being so small and highly intelligent makes him hard to track down or steal from. Making him one of the few clan members that is relaxed despite having to deliver items as their duty. Most clan members prefer to let him deliver their items due to this. Dekaan can easily get carried away by outer beauty, to the extent that he may ignore the inner qualities of others.
