Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has long toes, and likes to wander around on lily pads.

And look! Its toes have grown longer and developed webbing! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Fayllis is definitely the princess of Komoda's dragons. Being the first offspring of Fayrinn (the alpha male) and Aquellis (the alpha female), Fayrinn doesn't have a very large bloodline but a strong one nonetheless. She carries both her father's leadership skills and her mother's compassion, making her very much loved among the others. Although, she does have a childish quirk in her personality that is all of her own, making her even more lovable. Someone who doesn't like the hatchling would either have to be crazy or jealous.
