Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tana'ahe is the very picture of serenity and detachment, while also embodying goodwill. She never seems to be quite there, and has so justly earned the reputation of being unapproachable. She spends much of her time wrapped in her own world, which she shares with only a select few, to whom she is sweetness and light itself. However, none of the other dragons take her spaciness personally, because they all know that, when she does focus, she is utterly delightful and has a heart of gold. They would be even more charmed if they knew how much of her dreams involved imagining elaborate schemes to make the other dragons happy. The fact that these plans never really come to fruition hardly seems to matter.
