Blusang Lindwyrms are quite different from most dragons in that they lack hind legs. In this regard, they resemble snakes, and this is evident in their movement; these lindwyrms slither along the ground, using their forelegs to lift them over rougher terrain. Blusangs are a coastal breed, preferring to live along rocky beaches and in seaside caves rather than sandy locations. They are omnivores who graze on seaweed from time to time, although their primary form of sustenance is fish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nixortun likes this fascinating foodstuff that is occasionally brought north to his frigid home by passing merchant-ships: butter. Because he lives so far north, there is hardly enough of a summer for deer to find the grass and moss they need, let alone the much less capable dairy cattle. He makes little trinkets out of seashell, ice-coral, and enchanted, semi-solid drops of water which he trades for butter whenever a ship comes by. He will not kill anything for these trinkets since he is part of a philosophical school that frowns upon unnecessary killing as among the worst possible offenses. It does not bother Nix that he doesn't have a past, because he has met his mate's family and therefore seen what Azuzvi has to deal with. He happily lives with her, sharing the fish he catches and the deer she hunts along the shore.
