Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has large frills on its head.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Pow is incredibly full of energy. She can never sit still, disregards most of the hatchlings' curfew times, and isn't intimidated by anything at all in the world. The older dragons often worry that she'll take it into her head to run away and seek out adventures someday, but for now, Pow seems content to make up games and exciting plans with the other hatchlings at home.
