Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The lean, wiry Balthasar runs a pub at the feet of the Wyrm Mountains, a place for dragons from clans far and wide to come and enjoy a drink with others of their kind. The Dragon Arms, as it is called, is a great cavern burrowed through a mountain, with a connected, smaller cave operating as a tavern for humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, and other humanoid races. Balthasar is constantly making improvements to the pub. Recent upgrades have included a corridor leading to a large sparring field, both for the inevitable bar fights and to cater to the more feisty breeds, as well as a partially submerged sister tavern to accommodate water-bound breeds. Balthasar often serves as a listening ear for the other dragons, and is widely regarded as serving the best drinks for miles around—thanks, no doubt, to his considerable magic. Using this magic, he also creates an aura of peace, calm, and coziness in the confines of his pub, making it a popular gathering place.
