Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Spear of Fire is an unusually gentle Magma dragon. Unlike the formidable warriors that Magmas can make, Spear of Fire prefers to act as a guardian to the cave's eggs and hatchlings. Although Spear of Fire does have incredible strength and stamina, he will only fight when he feels it is necessary. It also takes a lot to provoke him, but if any dragon ever threatens an egg or hatchling, Spear of Fire will be there, ferociously protecting the future members of his cave.
