Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Valforan set out to court Olos, she knew she was in for a difficult task.  Olos came from a strongly musical family—his mother was renowned for her beautiful telepathic singing voice and musical compositions, while his father had learned how to make his own drums after observing humans—while Valforan couldn't carry a (telepathic) tune if her life depended on it.  Valforan had always prided herself on her determination, though, and refused to give up without a struggle.  Valforan's attempts at impressing either parent by either composing songs or creating instruments were all failures, but she persisted in her efforts.  Her determination finally paid off when she discovered that ochredrakes could be trained to respond to specific movements of a stick waved at them.  The ochredrake choir easily won over Olos' parents, and Valforan triumphed at last.
