Well, the chick grew up into a chicken, but you’re still not sure how the egg got into that cave...

Miss Josephina is a plump and prim white chicken that somehow came into the care of a large Flight of dragons. Her egg was discovered on a precipitous ledge outside the mouth of their cave by a few dragon hatchlings one dreary afternoon. Supposing it some kind of bird, the Flight kept it with the current clutch of eggs, as no dragons can bring themselves to harm their feathered kindred spirits. As a chick, she was everyone's darling--it took the combined efforts of all the dragons to keep her safe!--and is probably under the impression that she is some kind of very tiny dragon herself. She was thrilled when the first pygmy dragons joined the Flight, as she finally had companions her own size, and is great friends with them all. She loves to sit on the eggs whenever a new clutch is born, and is a wonderful guardian of all young dragons, making her a beloved and indispensable part of her Flight.
