Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It seems to like you, although it is very hyperactive and difficult to train.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Lil' Rocza is a quite simple little ochredrake. When she was freshly hatched she loved to play around the hatchies of Herk's clan and once upon such an occasion she was hit by a spell meant for one of them, keeping her forever young.

Since Rocza doesn't belong to the clan but rather lives in the forest around their lands this has caused her some difficulties  being too small to hunt worthy game or to protect herself she might not have survived long if it hadn't been for two wandering humans and their ochredrake companions. Loiosh and Lockheed have adopted little Rocza and their humans don't disagree with the addition of the cute bundle of joy.
