Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

For years, Lurhstaap would brave the harsh Galsreim winter to hunt for holiday eggs. Every winter, a new species would appear, but the eggs found in previous years were now gone. Only those owned and bred by fellow dragonmasters could be found, whether abandoned in the wilderness or displayed in the markets of the egg-traders. But then the Winter of Wishes came, and long-missing holiday eggs were seen in the wild once more.

And so, Daze hatched safely in the warm sanctuary of the Breedery creche instead of on a frigid, wind-rimed ledge in the wilderness. Far from longing for freedom, he considers himself fortunate—even blessed. Daze is hedonistic yet big-hearted and kind. In winter, he loves to lounge with friends (and females) in the festive, fireplace-cheered Great Hall of the oldest part of the Breedery. There, the partying dragons breathe sweet exotic smokes, enjoy magically conjured music, and nosh on coffee, cocoa, fruit, pastries, and fancy cooked meats. Yes, life is good.
