Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Gaia, despite their large size, are the lightest of all Xenowyrm subspecies. They possess the ability to use incredibly powerful life magic, though most of their efforts are concentrated; to them, nothing is more important than letting plant life thrive. Adult Gaia will use their magic to grow vegetation around themselves so they can spread it wherever they travel.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A long time ago a band of four dragons tyrannised the farthest corners of Galsreim, killing dragons and humans alike, creating fear and panic wherever they went.

Among the four Xenos, Silas was the strongest and in fact quite naive—almost gentle. He fought with his brethren and took joy from his strength and their victories. But when the fights were over he returned to his gardens which he summoned into being wherever they camped. Silas took joy from the simple things, a pretty gem, a soft blanket, the beauty of flowers and the camaraderie with his brethren. He followed Kronos first because of the pretty flowers that all Crono dragons posses and stayed for the friendship but he never overly enjoyed the killing and didn't partake in the more sadistic games the others so loved.

After the dissolving of their group Silas now lives alone in the deep woods only caring for his plants and avoiding the company of other dragons—although he still misses his brethren from time to time.
