Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It blends into the snow.

And look! It has gotten bigger. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Blizzard is a happy little hatchling who loves to play with others and make their days a bit brighter. Some of her friends told her about a mean old Ice hatchling who did his best to bully them and Blizz decided to go and have a look for herself. Splinters' Ice powers didn't really affect her and she laughed at his attempts to make her freeze—which for some reason impressed him. Now Splinter follows her around trying to become her friend but Blizz for the first time doesn't really want to befriend someone. She thinks he deserves to be lonely for the way he treated all her friends and does her best to ignore the bully no matter how sad his eyes grow.
