Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Onyxielle MagicGift (after the gemstone: Onyx) joined the clan cave as its 139th member, a precious gift from the Lady Majick of a nearby clan. She is a graceful and precise dragon who loves to soar high into the darkened, star filled heavens of night as if searching for a lost pin prick in the curtain of blackness. When still but an eggling, she was visited by Morganta who took control of her tending, caring for her alone and letting no others near, although the Clan Mother was able to steal a moment now and then. Through the stages of her development, Morganta never strayed far, and even to this day, the two share a familial, almost sisterly bond. Perhaps due to her lineage, or perhaps a result of Morgantas influence, Onyxielle is rather gentle and kind for her species, preferring calm pursuits to the typical warrior tendencies of her breed. She possesses a strange and quite unexpected affinity for magic, as if somehow her silvery ancestors walk beside her, their glowing gift.
