Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A very stern creature, this male spends much of his time looking after a human temple, always busily assuring himself that there's not a speck of dust in sight or an intruder about to make off with the holy relics. While some more carefree dragons are in the habit of teasing him for becoming a human 'pet,' he simply ignores them and carries on. The truth of the matter is he feels he owes it to the priests; when he was just a young hatchling, a sudden storm separated him from his parents, leaving him stranded, helpless, and afraid. But the priests found him and took him in, raising him up into a powerful young dragon, intelligent and generous. Since they are the reason he lives, he feels it is only fair to dedicate his life to helping theirs--and, after all, they are his family now.
