Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shichu is the first black dragon of the herd. He desperately wanted to become the leader, but was greatly disappointed when other dragons were against it. After a few protests he settled down and decided to deal with it. He fell in love with Greyaki, but their love didn't last as their personalities made them split. He soon found a new female he was fond of, a young one. Her personality wasn't completely formed so he decided to stay with her and influence her fragile personality to make a perfect mate for himself. The mother, Shirokai is against their relationship but there's nothing she can do now that an egg was laid.
